Volunteer in Costa Rica this summer!

The world is full of amazing animals. Unfortunately, due to recent climate change and deforestation, many of the world’s most fascinating creatures are on the decline. Many countries that are rich in forestation and wildlife are under threat from developments in the Western world, and many such places can be found in South and Central America.Costa Rica is no exception, with many of the country’s native species finding themselves under threat in recent times.

Amongst all the creatures in the animal kingdom, there are a few types of animal that never fail to evoke strong emotional feelings and sympathy. These creatures are of course monkeys. And again, Costa Rica has an amazing array of fascinating monkey species that can only be found there. Costa Rica is home to four of the most endearing and captivating monkeys in the world. These are the Central American Squirrel Monkey, the White-headed Capuchin, the Mantled Howler, and the Geoffroy’s Spider Monkey.

For those people looking to volunteer in Latin America this summer, there are amazing opportunities to work closely with these species in order to ensure their conservation and protection from climate change and deforestation. Whether you are looking for a summer vacation that offers more than the average trip, or whether you are looking for a semi-permanent placement that allows you to change the world, then Costa Rica has everything to accommodate you.

It is easier than ever to volunteer in Costa Rica, due to the many organisations that have been set up to allow people to make a difference to the precarious situation that these marvellous animals are now in. Volunteering to help at conservation and research parks is not only a fun way to immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Latin America, it is also an incredible opportunity to experience life-changing and magical situations that you cannot find anywhere else in the world!

7. Discover Latin America this year!
