Top Tips For Taking A Holiday In The United Kingdom

If you are planning a trip to the United Kingdom, then here are my top tips for how to enjoy your time in this exceptional nation:

1. Go and watch some Premiership football. The United Kingdom is a football crazy nation and what better way to enjoy your time in this country then attempting to understand the national obsession? If you are in London then I would suggest that you get tickets for an Arsenal game. This is because the Gunners play a unique brand of passing, attacking football yet their tickets are still reasonably priced, unlike Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur. If you are further north then I would suggest heading for Manchester to watch a match either at Old Trafford or at the Stadium of Manchester. At the former ground you can watch Sir Alex Ferguson’s charges as they continue to attempt to defend their Premier League crown, while at the latter ground you can watch City where Roberto Mancini is attempting to wrestle it from them.

Volunteer in Costa Rica this summer!

The world is full of amazing animals. Unfortunately, due to recent climate change and deforestation, many of the world’s most fascinating creatures are on the decline. Many countries that are rich in forestation and wildlife are under threat from developments in the Western world, and many such places can be found in South and Central America.Costa Rica is no exception, with many of the country’s native species finding themselves under threat in recent times.

Visiting Britain With Children

The question of where to go on holiday in the United Kingdom is purely dependent on whether you have children with you or not. If you do then you are going to need to go somewhere where there are facilities for their entertainment, so I would suggest either going to a theme park or to the beach. One of the great things about going to a theme park is that you can stay in a hotel that is within the grounds of the park itself, so if you have young children with you, you can be sure that they will always be safe and you will be within easy walking distance of all the park’s attractions. The best options are probably Alton Towers or Thorpe Park as these are the ones with the best roller coasters and slides. You can also save money by buying the hotel room and the entrance fee to the park at the same time in a bundle, just google ‘Thorpe Park hotel’ and you will see what I mean.
If you want to take the kids to the beach, then head towards the south-west if you are after quiet coves and boutique bed and breakfasts. There are also lots of National Trust walks that will guide you through stunning scenery and along cliff-top paths. But if you want to combine both the beach and the theme park, then the place for you is Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Here you will find the winning combination of a sandy beach as well as roller coasters and other theme park attractions combined in the one place. It is also possible to save money on your hotel in Blackpool by having a look online, just google ‘Blackpool pleasure beach hotels’ and you will find a myriad of options.

The Zoas Live in Aberdeen

Ok, so it’s not every day that you read about a concert from the point of view of one of the band members. My band The Zoas have only been playing a couple of years, but recently we have been hitting the road hard and have been touring round Europe playing in every venue from the dingiest bar cellars, to audiences of a few hundred. It has been a great experience so far, but the one gig that will stay with me the longest is the time we played at Aberdeen.

Visit the GoMA while in Glasgow

While Glasgow is home to some of the most interesting historical sites and museums, it also contains the most visited modern art gallery in all of Scotland.

Most visitors choose to view the historical treasures, but in doing so, they may neglect some of the cities modern wonders as well. This old city with modern sensibilities has spent considerable resources to show the world that it too, has kept up with the times in social, civic, political and artistic arenas. The GoMA is a perfect example and extension of this modernism in action.

Wembley Stadium the best place for English football

Officially known as the old Empire Stadium before, Wembley stadium was renovated and re-designed as well. It housed some wonderful matches during its free quarters of a century. But it was really old and not so attractive as it is now.
Now we can call the stadium a magnificent experience, for its attractive construction and details, which absolutely create its image as one of the best European Stadiums.
Wembley stadium is the second largest ground in the entire Europe. The first place is held by Barcelona's Nou Camp. The seats at Wembley are undercover and there is enough space for your legs, so that you don't need to keep your knees touching your nose all game long.
When it comes to the toilets in the venue, we can say that even some five star hotels, don't provide such impressive facilities. It gives you pleasure even to go and see them.
This building is really impressive and interesting to be visited. Wembley housed many great concerts and sporting events. It is a perfect place to watch a football match, especially for the football fans.
